  Wonderfully warm, Biblically literate, an extended family who care for the hurting and the healthy - FoF invites people in - from their coffeehouse atmosphere to their engaging services - from their weekly study times to their open events - FoF is just a real church. We really enjoy attending!

  Absolutely love this church! Really feels like home to me. Pastor Dave is a phenomenal, biblical speaker, and the worship always 'strikes a chord' with me. After church hopping for a couple years, so glad to have finally found my home here.

  From the first moment I walked up to this church I felt comfortable! I was greeted at the door with big smiles and a sincere welcome! I was surprised at the energy when I got inside! This was obviously not your typical Lutheran church! People were seated at tables, couches, conversation areas socializing before service having coffee, tea, etc. and a wide variety of edible treats! The vibe was a very happy one! I saw a clock counting down the minutes until the service began, so I went inside and found a place. All of a sudden the musicians that were up front began to play and everyone stood up and began praising the Lord! They rocked the joint and I was blown away! Then, Pastor Dave Gaddini began to speak and I was mesmerized! He is a gifted speaker and speaks from the heart each and every week! I can't explain how inviting his messages are or how knowledgeable he is! The Holy Spirit is surely among us! Each week I am eager with anticipation to hear what he's going to teach us!

  What an amazing and remarkable worship community! FOF has the important aspects a modern and contemporary church can offer. It still remains a best kept secret in McHenry County hidden behind the tall trees in Bull Valley. They really deliver on their mission of "Make disciples who make disciples".
